    Co-founder and CEO

    John is the co-founder and CEO of Apprise, bringing over twenty years of experience in lending, property analytics, and valuations to the business. Before Apprise John enjoyed 9 years at Hometrack Australia as Commercial Director.

    John has a deep knowledge of mortgage lending and property with extensive exposure to lending, product, distribution, operations, credit risk, and valuations.

  • andrew calnin

    Director of Valuations

    Andrew is a Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) with 35 years of experience in the residential and commercial property market. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), and a Fellow of the Australian Property Institute (FAPI), and has held senior management, executive, and ownership positions in national valuation and real estate service businesses for the last 20 years.

    Andrew is a member of the Apprise board and is part of the founding team.

  • brendan smith

    Chief Valuations Officer

    A trusted senior leader with over 20 years of experience in property valuations, banking & finance. Brendan has strong industry relationships and is viewed as a significant contributor to the property industry.

    Brendan most recently was WBP Group’s CEO for 4 years, prior to that he was their COO for 11 years. During that time Brendan played a central role in growing the business and uplifting their platforms and quality control programs.

    General Manager, Finance

    As a Chartered Accountant, Joanne’s background in external then internal audits provided solid foundations with a focus on risk management, control processes, and procedures. As the financial controller and accountant for Hometrack, Joanne played a key role in its successful growth.

    Joanne thrives in helping a company grow with the appropriate risk management framework and financial oversight.

  • brendan darcy

    Co-founder and CIO

    Brendan is a co-founder and CIO of the business. Previously he was Hometrack Australia’s CEO and led the team from start-up in 2008 to sale. He has a proven track record in leadership, data analytics, solution sales, risk management, automated valuations, business administration, and strategy. Brendan has extensive international experience having worked in Australia, the UK, the Middle East, and Africa.
